I've read a few things from Jaclyn before, but this one honestly tops the list. I looooove PIRATES, and this story was so perfectly woven together with a sweet love story, and swash buckling adventure. All that was missing was a few "argggh" and "aye mateys" but then again those are so cliche. Seriously, it was well written...the characters were real and the love story was honest and you believed it. Sometimes I roll my eyes at people who fall in love in 2 days.My one gripe, and it is a small one, is that I found the ending a little rushed. It came up so suddenly I kept thinking something was wrong with my Kindle saying there was only 5% left of the story to go. Nah, couldn't be the end!!!! I would have preferred to learn more about what happened with Alek, or what part Eva will play in things (I really hope we see her in the next book) and I SOOO want to learn more about Triton too. So many characters that were so interesting, I hope they get explored in the other books.This is a series I will "one-click buy" as soon as it is available for pre-order. I have only about 3 authors I do that with, and Jaclyn and her "Tales of Fate" series has just become #4 without a doubt.
